The Place where People Meet to Eat
Our family opened a small breakfast and lunch restaurant in Broadview, IL on August 7, 2012. We set out to be a community restaurant that provided jobs for the community. We accomplished that goal until we closed on December 19, 2019.
We provided a light contemporary atmosphere that still had a warm homey feeling. The food was presented with a flair but was not short on flavor. The plates were pleasing to both the eye and the palate.
We offered the traditional home-style breakfast of bacon and eggs but took it to another level with our popular Jerk Chicken Breast Omelet. We offered some unique flavors of pancakes all made from scratch. We didn’t use grandma’s old fashioned look but we did use some of her recipes like those salmon croquettes and homemade biscuits just to be sure you felt right at home.
We offered satisfaction for those mid-day lunch cravings. Those midday meals included our unique burgers, finger-lickin’ good wings, chicken breast, catfish or salmon. Some of those items were available as sandwiches that were topped off with our hand-cut fries. We also had beautiful salads and sautéed spinach to keep you healthy.
Of course the meals would not have been complete without our fresh squeezed orange juice, home-made sweet tea or fresh squeezed lemonade. If lunch was your early morning craving and if breakfast was your mid-day craving, it was available just for the asking.
We were not a fast food establishment. Our foods were prepared fresh so patience was a must.
Not only were we a sit down restaurant, but we were available after hours for your special event. From an intimate wedding or rehearsal dinner, graduation celebration or repast luncheon, to a baby shower, book signing or dinner for two The Corner Spot Café took care of your needs.
We were a one-stop shop at The Corner Spot Café, “where people meet to eat.” We are transitioning from a community one-stop shop to an e-commerce business providing those famous sauces, seasonings and dry mixes for you and your family to experience anytime you want.
